IT / Technology Support Desk Technician
Between $52K - $75K Depending on Experience!

West Herr is seeking an IT/Technology Support Desk Technician to provide basic to intermediate level support via telephone, email, remote connection, or in person to any employee in the company for any hardware, software, network gear, or peripheral we have in the production environment. You will work with the employee to diagnose and resolve these issues with urgency and with excellent customer care, providing employee training as needed.
Secondary responsibilities include building and installing new hardware, performing employee account creation and maintenance, installing and working with software, inventory management and equipment upgrades and replacements. Moving and installing desktop technology to support projects in and around Rochester, NY.

Expectations:
- Reports directly to the Technology Operations Manager
- Maintaining a professional appearance and a clean working environment that fosters a high level of customer care, white glove treatment, and a high sense of empathy and urgency while responding to and resolving open technology issues and completing assigned tasks.
- Project related work as directed by the Director of Technology and the Technology Operations Manager
- A mix of help desk work and project work will fluctuate to meet current workloads
- Travel and some off hours work, scheduled in advance
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50+ pounds, carry up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, reach and climb stairs and ladders and use hand and power tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Multiple years of professional IT experience.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+, desired.
- Working knowledge of basic hardware, including laptops, desktops, printers, iPad, Active Directory
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Active Listener and Critical Thinker.
- Solid time management skills.
- Team player who is professional and sets an example.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Working experience with Microsoft Active Directory, domain, file share, and printer server services.
- Working experience with Cisco IP Phones
- Working experience with Microsoft O365 services (Office suite, Teams, user administration, MFA)
- Working experience with Apple iOS devices and MDM
- IT Customer Service or Help Desk Call Center experience, preferred.
- Applicants will need their own transportation (mileage is reimbursed), possess and maintain a clean driving record and clean criminal record.
