OPPO US AI Lab is seeking a self-motivated Deep Learning engineer to work on applied computer vision research projects. The candidate will have good opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research to solve real-world problems and help developing the technologies that power future OPPO products. The candidate will work closely with both deep learning researchers and engineering teams to develop AI algorithm prototypes and deliver efficient implementation on target OPPO product platforms.

Duties and responsibilities

Research and develop deep learning algorithms on computer vision and image/video processing that achieve state-of-the-art results

Develop robust and efficient algorithms that satisfy product level requirements

Implement algorithms within specific hardware and performance constraints

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD candidate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields such as Physics and Mathematics

Solid background in deep learning algorithms and optimization techniques

Familiarity with common deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow and Caffe

Strong background in computer vision and machine learning basics

Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++ and Java, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Research experience on image and video processing (feature learning/fusion, video understanding or enhancement), semantic segmentation and detection

Have knowledge on self-supervised or weakly supervised learning, depth estimation and 3D geometry

Good publication record at top-tier ML conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc) and/journals

Strong problem solving skills
